Linghua Kong received the bachelor's degree in Physics from Nankai University, in 1983,The master's degree in Physics from the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 1988, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, McGill University, Canada in 2004. He received a Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Georgia Institute of Technology, in 2005. He is currently a Professor with the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Fujian University of Technology. He has designed and developed a variety of new products and equipment, obtained 15 patents, and published 20 influential articles included in SCI/EI as the first author.
