Author Biographies

Zhenwei Yan earned a BS in Biological Science (2010) and a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2017) from the Shandong Normal University. He is now an associate research fellow of the Maize Research Institute, Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. His work in abiotic stress has resulted in a large number of publications.
Jing Hou is now a graduate student at the College of Agronomy, Ludong University. She works on the mechanism of response to multiple abiotic stresses in maize. She has participated in many studies and has achieved a series of results. She is now seeking a PhD degree and intends to publish a series of papers in various journals.
After graduating with a PhD from Shandong Normal University, she joined the Corn Research Institute of Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, mainly engaging in the exploration of abiotic stress genes and the breeding of fresh corn. She has achieved a series of achievements. She has published multiple academic papers and participated in the development of multiple corn varieties.
Guoqi Yao earned a PhD in Crop Science (2006) from the Nanjing Agricultural University. He participated in the rolling projects of the national major projects of the 11th, 12th, and 13th Five Year Plans for the cultivation of new maize varieties with resistance to reversal genes, one national 948 maize germplasm introduction and innovation utilization project, two maize germplasm innovation and utilization projects of the Shandong Province Good Variety Engineering germplasm innovation project, and one maize sub-project of the Shandong Province Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Project.
Changle Ma is a researcher at Shandong Normal University, Jinan, China. His work in abiotic stress has resulted in a large number of publications. He also has long been dedicated to research on peroxisome biogenesis and autophagy, as well as the molecular biology of plant salt tolerance. Currently, more than 40 articles have been published in journals such as Autophagy, Plant Cell, and Plant Physiology.

Fajun Zhang earned a BS in Crop Science (1998) from the Shandong Agricultural University. He is now a research fellow of the Maize Research Institute, Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. His work in abiotic stress has resulted in a large number of publications. He has also engaged in corn breeding work and developed a series of corn varieties, including LT105 and LN002.
