Area of scientific interest is the research of mechanical transmissions; developed of the fundamental theory of precessional gears; elaborated gears with convex–concave multiple pairs. Administrative activity: rector of the Technical University of Moldova (1992 - 2015); chairman of the Association of Engineers of the Republic of Moldova (1994 - present).
