Dr. Guangqian Ren, Ph.D., has a position as a lecturer and is currently working at the School of Environmental and Safety Engineering, Jiangsu University (January 2023–present). He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Agricultural Engineering Postdoctoral Station of Jiangsu University (December 2020–November 2022). He mainly engages in research on global change invasion ecology, specifically involving the dynamics of alien plant invasions, invasion mechanisms, and their legacy effects under the background of environmental changes such as global warming, atmospheric nitrogen deposition, and rainfall fluctuations. He has presided over and participated in many scientific research projects. He is currently in charge of the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu University. He has published more than 20 SCI academic papers in international classic journals such as Biological Invasions and Ecological Processes, clarifying the internal and external mechanisms of the successful invasion of alien plants in the context of environmental change, and systematically demonstrating and quantifying the characteristic dependence of invasive competitiveness and adaptability.
