Dr. Yanfang Liu is a deputy director of the Processing Technology Research Laboratory of the Edible Fungi Research Institute of the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences. She is also a master’s supervisor at Shanghai Ocean University and Shanghai University of Technology. In addition, she
is a member of the Youth Work Committee of the Chinese Society of Food Science and Technology, deputy director of the Medicinal Fungi Committee of the Chinese Edible Fungi Association, director of the Ganoderma Lucidum Industry Branch and Health Industry Branch of the Chinese Mycological Society, and editorial board member of the Journal of Mycology and the Journal of Edible Fungi. She spent
one year as a visiting scholar at the Guelph Food Research Center of the Canadian Department of Agriculture. Furthermore, she serves as a reviewer for several SCI journals, including Trends in Food Science & Technology, Carbohydrate Polymers, and Food Hydrocolloids. Her research topics mainly
include structural characterization, activity evaluation, and quality control methods and preparation technology of polysaccharides and other functional components in edible and medicinal fungi.
