Prof. Fang-Chyou Chiu is a chemical engineer, materials engineer, and educator. Member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, Polymer Processing Society, The Polymer Society, Taipei. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) in 1985, his Master of Polymer Engineering at the University of Akron in 1991, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Polymer Science at the University of Akron in 1995. He worked as a Researcher at the Union Chemical Lab. ITRI (1995 – 1996), and as an Engineer at the Integral Chemical Co. (1996 – 1997). Since 1997, he has been working at Chang Gung University, serving as Assistant Professor (1997 – 2002) and Associate Professor (2002 – 2007). And then, he has been serving as a Professor since 2007. His research interests include Polymer Physics/Processing, Polymer Blends/Composites/Foams, Polymeric Nano-Materials, and Bio-Polymers.
