Prof. Dr. Sangui Wang is the Second-Level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Agriculture and Rural Development, Renmin University of China; dean of the China Poverty Alleviation Research Institute of Renmin the University of China. He is also an expert enjoying special government allowances; a specially appointed expert of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's political consultative talent pool; a former expert of the State Council's Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development Member of the Advisory Committee; consulting expert for many international development agencies such as the World Bank and the United Nations Development Program. He has presided over several key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation, published 17 academic monographs, and published more than 160 academic papers at home and abroad. Won the first prize in the 8th Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements of Higher Education Institutions (Humanities and Social Sciences), the 4th "China Rural Development Research Award" and the first "Youcheng Poverty Alleviation Scientific Research Achievement Award" of the State Council Poverty Alleviation Office; awarded by the State Council Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development "National Advanced Individual in Poverty Alleviation and Development".
