Dr. Chun-De Liao received his Ph.D. from the School and Graduate Institute of Physical Therapy, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan in July 2020. Now he is an assistant professor in the Master Program for Long-Term Care, College of Nursing, Taipei Medical University, Taipei, Taiwan. His research issues focus on osteoarthritis, sarcopenia, obesity, sport medicine, and physiotherapy. Dr.
Liao has studied the efficacy of protein supplementation combined with exercise for older populations. In addition, Dr. Liao has been a senior physical therapist who uses extracorporeal shock wave therapy for pain management in musculoskeletal conditions. With respect to evidence-based medicine, Dr. Liao
has conducted numerous systematic review and meta-analysis studies regarding the related research issues. Recently, he initiated further clinical trials targeting regenerative medicine in combination with physiotherapy for older people with knee osteoarthritis.
