Anna Krauss received her Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Sociology from Colby College and is now a fourth year medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Harlem. Prior to medical school, Anna was a Behavioral Therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her research interests include medical sociology, medical education, and substance use disorder.
Rev. Dr. Robert Thomas Carter, Jr., CH (COL) (retired) is the Director of Pastoral Care at Montefiore Nyack Hospital and serves the Lutheran community at the Old Cadet Chapel, United States Military Academy. He earned a BA from Loyola University, Chicago, MLS, from Southern Connecticut State University, MDiv from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He completed his DMin studies in Chaplaincy and Mental Health at Vanderbilt University. He has completed six units of Clinical Pastoral Education. He recently led workshops on Narrative Writing as a means for Post-Traumatic Growth, Supporting those who are Grieving, and Developing relationships for Coaching and Mentoring. He serves as the Chaplain for the 416th Engineer Command Association and the O’Connor Doyle Post 633 of the American Legion. His teaching disciplines include post-traumatic growth, healing from trauma, visitation, narrative writing, and journaling, coaching and mentoring, leader development, leading spirituality/resiliency groups. His interests include developing personal and professional growth, positive psychology, mindfulness, building relational support in organizations, mentoring and coaching relationships. He is a member of the Reserve Officers Association, Association of Professional Chaplains. His awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, Basic Parachutist Badge, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold) The Order of Martin of Tours, and The Four Chaplains Medal.
