Prof. Alvaro Antonio Villa Ochoa graduated in Mechanical Engineering from La Universidad Del Zulia (2001) before obtaining a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2010) in the area of thermal systems and processes, and a doctorate in the area of energy in mechanical engineering at the Federal University of Pernambuco (2014). He completed his postdoctoral studies in mechanical engineering at Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain (2016). He is currently an effective professor at the Federal Institute of Technology of Pernambuco and a collaborator in the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program at UFPE. He has experience in mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on thermodynamic modeling and numerical simulation, polygeneration systems, heat and mass transfer, refrigeration via absorption and mechanical compression, and financial and thermoeconomic analysis of energy systems.
