Mário Gabriel
Santiago dos Santos defended his PhD in Environmental Sciences in the
University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) in 2009. He is an Assistant
Professor of the Department of Biology and Environment, UTAD, and Integrated Member
of the Centre for the Research and Technology of Agro-Environment and
Biological Sciences (CITAB) and Institute for Innovation, Training and
Sustainability in Agri-Food Production (INOV4AGRO). His main research interests
are Conservation Biology, Applied Entomology, Landscape Ecology, Ornithology, Ecological
Indicators, Ecological Modelling, Applied Ecology, Agroecology, and Agroforestry.
José Manuel Martinho Lourenço is currently an Assistant Professor in the Geology department of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Vila Real, Portugal (https://www.utad.pt). Academic degrees: degree in Geological Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra; PhD in Geology, specialising in Applied Geophysics at UTAD. Areas of expertise: applied geophysics, geographic information systems, surveys using classical methods, GNSS and aerophotogrammetry, 3D modelling, and surveys using remotely piloted aircraft systems. Projects: Member of nine international research projects (INTERREG Atlantic Area and INTERREG POCTEP). Authorship: around thirty indexed articles and book chapters.
