Ziemowit Malecha is an Associate Professor at the Department
of Cryogenics and Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Power
Engineering, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. degree
in Mechanical Engineering from the Wroclaw University of Science and
Technology. Ziemowit Malecha was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of
Michigan, focusing on fluid mechanics and the vortex particle method. He was also a
postdoctoral researcher at the University of New Hampshire for about three years, focusing
on computational fluid dynamics, atmospheric models, oceanography, and
multiscale computational methods. His research fields cover numerical modeling
of heat and mas transfer; definition and implementation of new mathematical and
numerical models; energy transformation and renewable energy sources; cryogenics; and open source software (e.g., OpenFOAM).
