Prof. Dr. Gui Zhang is the dean of the School of Surveying and Mapping Science and Technology and the School of Science at Central South University of Forestry and Technology. He is also the director of the Institute of Spatial Information Technology of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, the director of the National Forest Fire Prevention Virtual Simulation Experiment Teaching Center, the director of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Digital Dongting, the review expert of the National Science and Technology Awards, the peer review expert of the National Natural Science Foundation, and the deputy director of the Precision Agriculture and Forestry Working Committee of the China Geographic Information Industry Association, etc. As the first inventor, he has been granted 7 and 12 co-authorized invention patents. His research interests include forestry information engineering, forest fire prevention information engineering, ecological environment monitoring, and early warning satellite application engineering.
Prof. Dr. Zhigao Yang is an Associate Professor at the Central South University of Forestry and Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Land Resources Information Engineering from Central South University and his M.S. in Forest Management from Central South University of Forestry and Technology in 2012 and 2003, respectively. His main research directions are forestry information engineering and geographic information science.
