Dr. Nicholas E. Mandrak is a Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) in Toronto, Ontario, and the Director of the Conservation and Biodiversity stream of the professional M.Env.Sci. program at UTSC. In addition, he is a Research Associate at the Royal Ontario Museum and the South African Institute of Aquatic Biodiversity . His research interests are the biodiversity, biogeography, and conservation of Canadian freshwater fishes, with an emphasis on endangered and invasive fishes. He has co-authored over 250 primary publications, over 100 government reports, 40 COSEWIC reports, and 5 books, including the recently revised ROM Field Guide to Ontario Fishes.
