Taeksang Kim received his bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Seoul National University in 2015 and his master’s in civil and environmental engineering from the same university in 2017. He is currently pursuing a PhD in civil and environmental engineering at the University of Michigan. He worked as a site engineer at Daewoo E&C from 2017 to 2018, where he was involved in the Al-Faw breakwater project in Basra, Iraq, and high-speed rail projects in South Korea. From 2019 to 2020, he worked as a research assistant at the Engineering Research Institute of Seoul National University. His research topics mainly include nappe flow, scour depth estimation, dam-break waves, hydraulic experiments, and computational fluid dynamics.
