Veronica Dexheimer is an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Nuclear Research at Kent State University, Kent, OH, USA. She is a theoretical nuclear/particle astrophysicist specializing in the study of dense and hot matter in compact stars. The research in her group focuses on the properties of white dwarfs, neutron stars, proto-neutron stars, and stellar mergers. She received a Master’s degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. She completed her Ph.D. studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in 2009. She is also a member of MUSES, NP3M, and FRIB Theory Alliance collaborations.
