Prof Dr Peter A.G. van Bergeijk is a professor of international economics and macroeconomics at the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University, The Hague, the Netherlands. Peter has a PhD from Groningen University, the Netherlands, and has held professorships in Rotterdam and Zurich. As a policy maker and chief economist, he worked at the Netherlands Directorate-General for International Economic Relations, the Netherlands Competition Authority, and the Dutch Central Bank. He is an editor of leading research handbooks on economic diplomacy and economic sanctions. His most recent book is "On the inaccuracies of economic observations" (Edward Elgar 2024).
Dr Gina M. Ledda holds a PhD in development economics from Erasmus University, the Netherlands. Gina currently is a postdoc and visiting scholar at the International Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, the Netherlands. She was a researcher at the Philippine Institute for Development Studies, a leading socioeconomic policy think tank. She was also a consultant for the Philippine government on the country’s video game development industry roadmap. She has taught economics at the Master's and Bachelor's levels in the Netherlands, Belgium, Macau, China, and Manila, the Philippines. Her research topics mainly include global value chains, international trade, development economics, digital services and technologies, and economic policy.
