Lingfei Ma received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in geomatics engineering from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 2017 and 2020, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Central University of Finance and Economics, Beijing, China. He has published and presented more than 30 papers in refereed journals and at conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and IEEE-CVPRW. His main research interests include autonomous driving, mobile laser scanning, intelligent processing of point clouds, 3D scene modeling, and machine learning. He was a recipient of the 2020 National Best Ph.D. Thesis Award granted by the Canadian Remote Sensing Society. He serves as
an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation.
