Prof. Dr. Jianping Chen currently works at the State Key Laboratory on Local Fiber-Optic Communication Networks and Advanced Optical Communication Systems, Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He received a B.Sc. degree from Zhejiang University, Zhejiang, China, in 1983 and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 1986 and 1992, respectively. His research interests mainly include optoelectronic devices and integration, photonic signal processing and system applications.
