María Paula Fabani has a Ph.D. in Chemistry, holds the positions of Adjunct CIC and regular associate professor D.S., Cat. III (SPU), and belongs to the PROBIEN Linked Group (IIQ-FI-UNSJ). She is currently directing five doctoral theses (three CONICET fellows) and co-directing three doctoral theses (CONICET fellows). She is actively working on the development and fine-tuning of analysis techniques, equipment management, and the development of laboratory-scale equipment for the subsequent scaling up to the pilot plant and transfer to the agroindustrial sector. Her line of work addresses different topics, including food traceability (from the field to the consumer), the study of new raw materials from process waste, harvesting, and food processing to reuse and revalue them, tending towards the concepts of circular economy and zero waste. At the same time, she works in collaboration with other researchers in the application of drying technology (solar and convective) of biomasses, mathematical modeling, optimization, and the simulation of the mentioned processes, biomaterials, biomimetics synthesis, the obtention of platform molecules, as well as in the application of biochar as a soil amendment and substrate in soilless crops. The scientific production of these works has been published in 27 international journals (index 15) and sites of general interest (audiovisual media).

Rosa Rodriguez obtained her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of San Juan, Argentina. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of La Plata and the University of Perpignan (France). She works as a full-time professor at the University of San Juan and Scientific Researcher of CONICET at Grupo Vinculado al PROBIEN, Instituto de Ingenierí Química (CONICET-University of San Juan), where she lectures on alternative energies, materials, mathematical models applied to chemical engineering, fluidized chemical reactors, and life cycle analysis. She is the Coordinator of the Grupo Vinculado al PROBIEN, Instituto de Ingeniería Química, and Director of the Ph.D. Program in Chemical Engineering, namely Clean Processes. Throughout her career, she has supervised 13 Ph.D. theses and published about 80 papers in international journals in chemical reaction engineering, food processing, circular economy, and renewable energy. Current research mainly focuses on biomass pyrolysis/gasification and subsequent upgrading reactions, waste-to-energy processes, obtaining value-added compounds from bio-wastes, heterogeneous chemical reactor analysis and design, and renewable energy. At the same time, she works in collaboration with other researchers on the application of drying technology (solar and convective) for bio-waste, optimization and simulation of biomaterials, biomimetics synthesis, the obtention of platform molecules, as well as different applications of biochar.
