Domenico Mazzeo has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano since 2023. He obtained a PhD in Civil and Industrial Engineering in 2017 at the University of Calabria (UniCal). From 2013 to 2022, he was a post-doc research fellow at Unical and University IUAV of Venice. He obtained the Italian Qualification for Associate Professor in the sector 09/C2 technical physics and nuclear engineering in 2019. His research activities focus primarily on the following: (i) heat transfer and thermal energy storage in phase change materials; (ii) integrated polygeneration energy systems (renewable systems, electric batteries, thermal storage systems, heat pumps, electrolyzers, and electric vehicles); (iii) solar greenhouse heat and mass transfer modeling; (iv) application of machine learning in the renewable system field. He won the ATI 2018 Award from the Italian Thermotechnical Association (ATI), the Sustainability 2022 Travel Award from MDPI, was named as Top Reviewer 2019 in Cross-Field by Web of Science, and ranked in the World's Top 2% Scientists 2023. He is a member of AICARR (Italian Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration), IBPSA-Italy (International Building
Performance Simulation Association), ISES (International Solar Energy Society), IABP (International Association for Building Physics), Honorary associate member of ATI (Italian Thermotechnical Association), and IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
Emanuele Ogliari is a member of IEEE. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, in 2016. He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Energy, Politecnico di Milano, where he teaches electrical engineering and photovoltaic-based systems. He is a Staff Member of the Solar Tech Laboratory (SolarTechLAB) and the Laboratory of MicroGrids (MG2LAB) with Politecnico di Milano.
