Author Biographies

Junjie Yan is an Associate Professor at the College of Resources and Environment at Yili Normal University. He completed his PhD studies in Ecology at the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has led several projects including but not limited to the following: 1. Optimization Layout of Ecological Engineering in the Lower Tarim River, commissioned by the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences; 2. Evaluation of Water Use Structure in Xinjiang, a technical support project for the Xinjiang Water Resources Department; 3. Climate Change Impacts on Vegetation in the Altai Mountains, a sub-project of the Ecological Protection Plan for the Altai Mountains, commissioned by the Xinjiang Altai State Forest Administration. He has published numerous papers in SCI-indexed journals, primarily focusing on the application of ecological remote sensing. His teaching and research interests include ecological remote sensing applications.

Xufan Jin is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Science at the College of Resources and Environment, Yili Normal University. His research topics mainly include environmental evolution in arid regions.
