Dr. Tiago R. Matos is a physician, dermatovenerologist and scientist with two distinct Ph.Ds: one in immunology, and the other in biomedical sciences (both cum laude). Dr. Tiago has led multiple translational studies on immunology, hematology, and dermatology, receiving numerous grants, awards, and published original articles in journals including 'Nature Immunology' and 'Science Immunology'. He has a longstanding interest is in cellular immunology, particularly the interaction of T cells between human tissues and their relation to human autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. His research focuses on tissue-resident T cells and their blood precursors. Dr. Tiago thrives to improve treatments for immunologic diseases while providing novel insights into human immune responses.
