Author Biographies

Claudio Garuti, holds a Civil engineering title from the University of Chile and an M.Sc. from the University of Rome. He is currently owner and manager of Fulcrum Engineering, CEO of Medical Sapiens Society, and paper reviser in the IJAHP journal. He has more than 30 years of practice in decision-making with AHP/ANP in many different areas, such as as medicine (medical decision support systems with topologic AI), risk assessment, disaster risks management, strategic environmental assessment, and public portfolio prioritization. He created the compatibility index G and wrote two books and several papers of AHP/ANP theory and applications. Also, he wrote a top-cited article in 2020–2021 in the Journal of multi-criteria decision analysis for “A set theory justification of Garuti´s compatibility index”, received an Award of Excellence from the Creative Decision Foundation for the presentation of “How to assist to better and faster medical diagnose trough Medical Sapiens web platform”, and made several contributions to the AHP software “Total Decision web”.
Enrique Mu holds a PhD in Business Administration, an MBA, and a M.S. in Management of Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently University Faculty Research Officer at Carlow University, Pittsburgh. He is also the founder and Editor in Chief of the International Journal of the Analytic Hierarchy Process. His areas of research are strategic decision making and IT innovation adoption. He is the author of more than 50 peer-reviewed papers and has received awards such as a proclamation from the City of Pittsburgh for leading the cloud technology decision-making process and from the Faculty of Informatics from the University of Zagreb for his outstanding long-term scientific contribution, among others.
