Author Biographies

King Hei Stanley Lam is a clinical associate, professor (Hon) in the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an Hon Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Clinical Research and the Immediate Past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine; the Founding President of the MSKUS Asia-Pacific; the Honorary Consultant of the Taiwan Association of Prolotherapy and Regenerative Medicine, the Honorary Consultant of the Center for Regional Anesthesia, and Pain Medicine, Wan Fang Hospital, Taipei Medical University; the consultant of NYSORA; and the Author of the MSK US and RIT knee apps. He has RMSK and POCUS (MSK-Tissues) accreditation in the USA and was awarded the RMSK Pioneer Certificate in 2012. He obtained CIPS and FIPP from the World Institute of Pain (WIP) in 2017. Moreover, he has been a faculty teacher and examiner for WIP since 2018. Dr Lam is an Academic Editor for the Journals "International Journal of Clinical Practice", "Pain Research and Management", "Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine". He is also a guest editor for special issue of Diagnostics "Expanding Horizons in Fascial Diagnostics and Interventions". His research interests are US-guided nerves and fasciae hydrodissection; dynamic US scanning of joints and nerves; US-guided spine injection, and regenerative medicine for managing sports injuries, musculoskeletal and chronic pain.

Kenneth Dean Reeves is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist in the Greater Kansas City area who trained resident physicians through the University of Kansas. He received his medical degreefrom the University of Kansas School of Medicine. From 1986 to 2015, he served as a clinical assistant and associate professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is a research scientist and pain treatment physician who learned of dextrose prolotherapy in 1990 and began prolotherapy research in 1995. Since then, his research areas have expanded to include perineural injection treatment, hydrodissection of nerves, and other alternative methods. He has served as the primary investigator in several RCTs, but his primary passion is assisting other researchers in all phases of research, from design through article revisions, resulting in 50 peer-reviewed publications related to the therapeutic use of dextrose or platelet-rich plasma.
