Author Biographies

Zinat Mahal is from Bangladesh. She worked as a civil servant of the Bangladesh government. She is an employee of the Ministry of Public Administration. She started her career in June 2012 at the Ministry of Planning, Bangladesh, as assistant chief. Then, she worked in different ministries, including the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Civil Aviation and Tourism, and Science and Technology of Bangladesh. Zinat Mahal is an expert in the preparation and processing of proposed development and technical assistance projects focusing on the national perspective and the ministry’s specific vision. She has been working for almost 9 years in this sector and also has experience working at the field administration level for 2 years as chief executive officer of Upazila (a small administrative unit of Bangladesh). Zinat Mahal completed a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Animal Husbandry and an MS in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. After that, she completed an MS in Environmental Science in 2019 from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. Currently, she is pursuing PhD research at the University of Tsukuba, Japan. Zinat Mahal's research interest area is livestock waste management in Bangladesh.
