Chiara Baglioni has been an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education Science of the University Guglielmo Marconi, Telematic, of Rome (Italy) since 2015. She obtained her PhD in “Cognitive Psychology, Psychophysiology and Personality” at the Department of Psychology of the “Sapienza” University of Rome (Italy) in 2008. In 2013, she earned her Post-graduate specialization from the School for Cognitive Psychotherapy (SPC). She is a member of the European Insomnia Network (EIN), the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), and the German Sleep Society (DGSM). Her Main Research Interests include sleep, depression and psychopathology, insomnia: aetiology, personality aspects, psychophysiology, neurobiology, comorbidity with other mental disorders, cognitive-behavioural treatment for insomnia, emotions, affective states and emotion regulation, sleep of parents and children, and systematic reviews and meta-analyses on sleep psychopathology and psychological treatment for insomnia.
Francesca Gelfo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Human Sciences, Guglielmo Marconi University, Rome; Italy and at the Department of Clinical and Behavioural Neurology, IRCCS Fondazione Santa Lucia, Italy. She obtained her PhD from the University of Naples “Parthenope”. She is a member of the Associazione Italiana di Psicologia (AIP), the European Behavioural Pharmacology Society (EBPS), the European Brain and Behaviour Society (EBBS), and the Societa' Italiana di Neuroscienze (SINS). Her Areas of Interest include Alzheimer's disease, neurodegeneration, neuroprotection, behavior, brain reserve, environmental enrichment, neuronal morphology, basal forebrain cholinergic system, pharmacological agents, neurotrophins, and animal models. During her studies, she carried out investigations on animal models and human subjects, dealing with behavior and the underlying brain structural, biological, and physiological processes.
