Mingchun Ren holds a Ph.D., and is a researcher, a doctoral supervisor at Nanjing Agricultural University, and a master's supervisor at Shanghai Ocean University. He is a secretary of the Aquatic Animal Nutrition Branch of the National Animal Nutrition Steering Committee. He has mainly engaged in aquatic animal nutrition and feed research, focusing on amino acid nutritional sensing and the metabolic regulation of freshwater fish. He was selected as the third-level training target of Jiangsu Province's "333 High-level Talent Training Project", and won titles such as "Youth Top-notch Talents" of the Chinese Academy of Fisheries Sciences and the "Yihe Forum Youth Innovation Award". He also serves as an editorial board member of Molecular Biology Reports.
