Jacob R. Rammer is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and is the Director of the Advanced Mobility Biomechanics Lab (AMBL). He received his BS, MS, and Ph.D., all in Biomedical Engineering, from Marquette University in 2009, 2014, and 2017, respectively. He was awarded the Featured Young Scientist/Faculty Poster Presentation from the Consortium of Universities for Global Health in 2021. Using advanced biomechanical instrumentation and modeling techniques, his research seeks to better understand the mobility and participation of people with disabilities in both laboratory and community settings. His connected health technology approach leverages mobile applications and devices to quantitatively document mobility and participation. Ultimately, implications of this work will lead to improved clinical care, rehabilitation outcomes, and quality of life for people with disabilities.
