Prof. Dr. Zhongke Feng received his Ph.D. in Forest Management from Beijing Forestry University in 2000. He is currently the director and professor of the Precision Forestry Key Laboratory of Beijing, Forestry
College, Beijing Forestry University. He has led the following projects: the State Forestry Administration's Forestry Science and Technology Achievement Promotion Program, Precision Observation of Single-Standing Trees and Rapid Determination of Forest Stand (2019–2021); the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Project, Research on Vegetation Damage and Degradation Mechanisms of Coal Mining in the Pingshuo Mining Area (2018–2020). Currently, he also serves as the Deputy Secretary General of the China Geoinformation Industry Association, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Beijing Forestry University, and Editorial Board Member of GIM (International Journal of Surveying and Mapping). His research interests include forest management, mapping science and technology, photogrammetry, and remote sensing.
