Dr. Claudia González-Espinosa is a Titular Researcher at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav). She obtained her PhD in Basic Biomedical Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and performed a post-doctoral training period under the mentoring of Dr. Juan Rivera, at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, National
Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA. Her research interests comprise mechanisms of signal
transduction controlling the production of pro-inflammatory and pro-angiogenic factors in mast cells, together with the participation of this cell type in innate immune responses involved in tumor cancer growth, neuroinflammation and inflammaging.
