Torbjörn Thiringer works at Chalmers university of Technology, in Göteborg Sweden, as a professor in applied power electronics. He took his M.Sc. and Ph.D. at Chalmers University of technology in 1989 and 1996 respectively. His areas of interest include the modelling, control and grid integration of wind energy converters into power grids, battery technology from detailed cell modelling to system aspects, as well as power electronics and drives for other types of applications, such as electrified vehicles, buildings and industrial applications.
