Julia Müller is a research assistant and doctoral student in the division of Media Use and Effects at the Department of Communication and Media Research (IKMZ) at the University of Zurich. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in communication studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. As part of the University Research Priority Program “Digital Religion(s)”, her research focuses on digital media use and effects, digital religion, and spirituality.

Thomas N. Friemel is a Professor of Media Use and Effects at the Department of Communication and Media Research (IKMZ) at the University of Zurich.
