Dr. Ameer Mohammed is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Information Science and Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai. His research interests include machine learning, bioelectronics, embedded systems, biosignal processing for implantable devices, and low-power integrated circuit design. He has several publications in reputable journals. Dr. Mohammed’s academic journey began at Bayero University in Kano, Nigeria, where he graduated top of his class with first-class honors in electrical engineering in 2011. He then pursued an M.Sc. degree in mechatronics at the University of Bath, U.K., in 2013. He obtained a Ph.D. in electronic and electrical engineering from the University College London, U.K., in 2018. Prior to his current position, he served as a senior lecturer at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and the Department of Mechatronic Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, Nigeria, where he was the head of the Mechatronic Engineering Department. He was also a lecturer at Bayero University Kano in Nigeria.
Dr. Mohammed’s commitment to continuous learning and development led him to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, where he was a postdoctoral visiting researcher at the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department for the MIT-Empowering the Teachers Program.
Mr. Shutong Li is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the School of Information Science and Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include bioelectronics, sensors, and instrumentations for biomedical applications. He received his bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Nanjing, China.
Dr. Xiao Liu is currently a full professor at the School of Information Science and Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design, neuroprostheses, wireless sensing, microelectronic sensors, and wearable technologies. Dr. Liu received a B.Eng. degree in information engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 2003; an M.Sc. degree in microelectronics systems design from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2004; and a Ph.D. degree in electronic and electrical engineering from University College London (UCL), London, U.K., in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he was a postdoctoral research associate at UCL. He started his lectureship at Brunel University in 2011 before he joined the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, UCL, as a lecturer in 2013. He joined Fudan University in 2020. Dr. Liu is a senior member of IEEE and a member of the Biomedical and Life Science Circuits and Systems Technical Committee of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.
