Bo Xia is a professor in the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Queensland University of Technology. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (civil engineering) and Master of Engineering (construction management) at Zhejiang University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. He earned his PhD at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2010). His research interests are in design-build, project delivery systems, construction management, sustainable buildings, built environments for older people, and age-friendly communities and cities. His research findings have been published in internationally recognized journals and presented at important conferences. Currently, Prof. Xia acts as the editor of the International Journal of Construction Management and a member of the Editorial Boards for the ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering, Advances in Civil Engineering, and Built Environment Project and Asset Management. Prof. Xia welcomes prospective PhD applicants interested in broad construction and project management research, particularly in age-friendly built environments for the ageing population.
