Selcan Karakuş currently works at the Department of Chemistry at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa (IUC), Türkiye. She received her MSc and her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Istanbul University (IU) in 2006 and 2011, respectively. She worked as a visiting researcher at the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, University of Massachusetts, USA. She has research experience in drug carrier systems, nanoparticles, nanocomposites, nanoemulsion self-assembled polymeric nanostructures, biosensors, and copolymer blends. She has worked on different projects funded by IUC and has published several research articles and book chapters. She has published more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals with an h-index of 15 (Scopus, April 2024).
