Sarah B. Peters earned a PhD in biology (2014) from the University at Albany and did her postdoctoral training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham until 2020 in the area of transforming growth factor beta (TGFbeta) in bone and tooth biology. She is now an assistant professor in the Division of Biosciences in the College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University. Her work focuses on neuro-pulpal signaling regulating tooth development, health/vitality, and healing throughout the lifetime of the organism. Her research has been awarded grants from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and been presented internationally at IADR/AADOCR, Bones and Teeth Gordon conferences, and the ICCBMT.
