Djamal Darfilal obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 2007 and completed his Ph.D. in 2019 at the University of Tlemcen. He dedicated a decade to serving as a Senior Researcher at the Satellites Development Center within the Algerian Space Agency ASAL, focusing on propulsion and space systems research. Presently, he leads a team of researchers at the Yahsat Space Laboratory, conducting pioneering research in the fields of CubSats and space systems development.
Sean Shan Min Swei is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Khalifa University (KU), and the Director of the KU Space Technology & Innovation Center (KUSTIC). He received his BSC in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University, his MSc in Mechanical and Mechanics from Drexel University, and his Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Purdue University. Prior to joining KU, he spent 20 years as a Senior Research Scientist/Principal Investigator at NASA Ames Research Center, conducting advanced aeronautics and spaceflight research. Currently, he is leading a team of researchers at KUSTIC in conducting innovative research in the areas of Mars/Lunar air mobility vehicles, SpaceRobotics, CubeSat constellation, intelligent space structures, and micro-electric propulsion systems.
