Dr. Furan Cao is an associate research fellow at Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Institute for Grand Canal, Hangzhou City University. He completed his PhD studies in World Industrial Heritage Mangement at University of Birmingham and Central China Normal University, as a joint PhD sponsored by China scholarship Council from 2015-2019. He recently led the projects on the revitalization of industrial heritages along Chinese Grand Canal, and the digital improvements towards them as well. He has published 8 papers in various journals and serves as a young consultant in the evaluation system of Chinese National Industrial Heritage. His teaching disciplines include world industrial heritage, canal heritage and digitalization of cultural heritages.
