Prof. Dr. Zhe Zhang is a master's supervisor at Shenzhen Technology University and a candidate for Shenzhen's high-level talent program. He obtained a Ph.D. in optical engineering from Shenzhen University in 2020. From July 2020 to June 2022, he served as a postdoctoral fellow in optical engineering at Jinan University. Since July 2022, he has been an assistant professor at Shenzhen University of Technology. He has been engaged in research on fiber sensing technology, fiber grating dispersion measurement technology, and femtosecond laser micromachining technology for a long time, and has achieved a series of innovative results. He has published 17 SCI papers in internationally renowned optical journals such as Optics Letters and Optics Express as the first/corresponding author. He has presented many oral reports at top conferences in the fields of OFC, AFL, ICOCN, and NCP. He participated in the "Huawei-Jinan University Advanced Light Joint Laboratory" project as a backbone, developed ultra-low loss hollow-core fiber interconnection technology, and won the "Outstanding Contribution Award".
Prof. Dr. Xiaoyang Guo is an associate professor and vice dean of the School of Engineering Physics, Shenzhen University of Technology, and the Center for Ultra-Strong Laser Application Technology. He graduated from Central South University in 2010 and obtained his Ph.D. from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015. From 2015 to 2018, he served as a special researcher at Kyoto University; from 2018 to 2018, he served as an assistant professor at Osaka University; and since 2018, he has served as an associate professor at Shenzhen University of Technology. He is engaged in the development and application research of ultra-strong ultrashort laser technology, high repetition rate solid laser technology, and ultrafast nonlinear frequency conversion technology. In the past five years, he has published more than 17 papers in internationally renowned SCI journals as the first author and participated in more than 10 internationally renowned conferences, including ASSL and SPIE. His research results are innovative have important application value, and have received widespread attention and high praise from domestic and foreign peers.
Prof. Dr. Cangtao Zhou is the dean of the School of Engineering Physics at Shenzhen University of Technology. In 1992, he received a doctorate in engineering from the China Academy of Engineering Physics and then worked at the Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics. From 1995 to 2005, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the National University of Singapore and a permanent senior researcher at the Singapore Defense Science and Technology Research Institute. In 2005, he joined the Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics to engage in national defense science and technology research. In 2018, he joined Shenzhen University of Technology and successively established the Super Laser Application Technology Research Center, Shenzhen Key Laboratory, and the School of Engineering Physics. He was a member of the physical technology expert group of a major national science and technology project and the deputy leader of the new ignition sub-item, a member of the National High-Tech 863 High-Power Laser Technology Special Expert Group, and a part-time or adjunct professor and doctoral supervisor at Peking University, University of Science and Technology of China. His current research interests include ultra-intense laser-driven new particle accelerators and ultrafast precision diagnostic technology, as well as basic scientific research and technological applications at the forefront of modern physics, etc.
Prof. Dr. Shuangchen Ruan currently works at the School of Engineering Physics, Shenzhen University of Technology, Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Ultra-Strong Laser and Advanced Materials Technology, and High-Strength Laser Application Technology Center. He received his doctorate from Tianjin University in 2004. From 1993 to 1994, he studied at Imperial College, UK, and was promoted to professor in 1994. Prof. Dr. Shuangchen Ruan has long been engaged in research on fiber lasers, nonlinear properties of fibers, and ultrafast optical devices. He has published more than 100 papers. Prof. Dr. Shuangchen Ruan was awarded the third prize in the National Science and Technology Progress once, the first prize once, and the second prize four times; He was also awarded the third prize in the Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress on two occasions. He has been honored as a Nationally Outstanding Teacher, Shenzhen Model Worker, Shenzhen Top Ten Outstanding Youth, and Top Ten Outstanding Youth of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In addition, Prof. Dr. Shuangchen Ruan won the Second Prize of the Young Scientist Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Sixth China Youth Science and Technology Award, and the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Optical Society (Wang Daheng Optical Award).
