Rakibuzzaman Shah (Senior Member, IEEE) is an Associate Professor in Smart Power Systems Engineering at Federation University Australia (FedUni Australia). He has PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia and M. Eng from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. Before joining FedUni Australia, he had worked with the University of Manchester, the University of Queensland, and Central Queensland University. He has more than 120 international publications (journals and conferences). His research interest includes future power grids (i.e., renewable energy integration, wide-area control), asynchronous grid connection through VSC-HVDC, power system stability and dynamics, application of data mining in power systems, and application of control theory in power systems and distribution systems. He has led industry projects worth USD 3.82 million in the last four years in the area of his research interest.
