Dr. Paolo Ciampi graduated with a degree in Geology Applied to Engineering, Territory, and Risks in 2015 from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He obtained a PhD in Sciences of the Earth at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical, and Natural Sciences in 2020. He worked as a research fellow at the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Rome, “La Sapienza”, from March 2020 to December 2021. Dr. Ciampi has been a fixed-term researcher (RTDA) since December 2021, in service at the Department of Earth Sciences of the same university—scientific-disciplinary sector of Applied Geology. Paolo Ciampi is a tenure track researcher (RTT) in Applied Geophysics in the Department of Earth Sciences at Sapienza University since 2023. His research topics include 3D hydrogeophysical modeling, pollution and environmental remediation, remediation geology, remediation strategies for contaminated sites, geodatabases and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and groundwater reclamation with innovative and eco-sustainable technologies. Since 2021, Dr. Ciampi has also been a member of the organizing committee, the academic subgroup, and the group of young professionals of NICOLE—the network for industrially coordinated sustainable land management in Europe.
