Prof. Dr. Zhaobin Qiu is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), China. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Jilin University in 1994 and earned a Ph.D. from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000. He then successively engaged in research work at the German Institute for Polymers, the University of Tokyo, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and Kanagawa University from 2000 to 2005. In 2005, he returned to China and became a full professor at BUCT. His current research interests mainly include biodegradable polymers, biobased polymers, polymer blends, polymer (nano)composites, and polymer crystallization. Prof. Qiu has been awarded several outstanding awards, such as the JSPS fellowship and Feng Xinde Polymer Prize. He is currently the editorial member of Polymers and Macromol at MDPI. So far, he has authored over 180 journal papers and 4 book chapters, which have been cited over 5600 times.
