Carlos Adam Conte-Junior is a Biochemistry Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. He received his Master's degree in Food Science (Biochemistry) from the Rio de Janeiro Federal University in 2006 and later completed his Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), with a stay at the Vrije Universiteit Medisch Centrum Amsterdam (VUmc). He conducted his post-doctoral research at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and the University of California in the USA. His research interests include biochemistry and molecular biology, non-thermal methods, oxidative processes, predictive microbiology, chemical and biological contaminants, functional biomolecules, proteomics, bioinformatics, and nanotechnology.
