Henrique A. Dinarte - Henrique A. Dinarte has a B.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering and an M.Sc. in Systems Engineering from the University of Pernambuco (UPE) and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). He is a Professor of Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Pernambuco and a research member of the Network Protocols Research Group (GPPR). His research activities focus on network protocol optimization, optical networks, and evolutionary computation in network optimization and telecommunication systems development.
Raul C. Almeida Jr. has a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1999) and an M.Sc. (2001) and a Ph.D.(2004) in Electrical Engineering from UNICAMP. From 2006 to 2011, he worked at the University of Essex, the UK, as a Senior Research Officer, and in 2012, he joined the Photonics Group, the Department of Electronics and Systems, UFPE, in Recife, Brazil, as an Adjunct Professor. Raul C. Almeida Jr. was the Head of the Electronics and Systems Department between 2019 and 2022 and is currently an Associate Professor and a Research Fellow (PQ-2) at the National Research Council of Brazil (CNPq) with experience in electrical engineering, focusing on telecommunication systems. His main research interests are optical networks, optical communication systems, traffic engineering, analytical modeling, evolutionary computation, and future Internet and telecommunication network optimization and projects.
Raouf Boutaba received M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Sorbonne University in 1990 and 1994, respectively. He is currently a University Chair Professor and the Director of the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science, University of Waterloo, Canada. He is a fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and the Royal Society of Canada. He was the founding Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management from 2007 to 2010 and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications from 2018 to 2021.
