Dr. Tiago de Melo Nazareth currently holds a postdoctoral orientation position at the Department of Preventive Medicine, Public Health, Food Science, Toxicology, and Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Valencia. He graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná in 2015. He took part in an exchange program at the Institut Superieur d'Agriculture in Lille, France, during 2013-2014. In 2017, he completed a Master’s degree in animal science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná. In 2023, he received his PhD in the Food Science program at the University of Valencia and Animal Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná.
Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Meca is a Professor at the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Valencia. He received his Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Master's degree in Food and Science Technology from the University of Naples Federico II, PhD in Foods, Nutrition, and Wellness Studies, General from the Second University of Naples, and PhD in Food Science and Technology from the University of Valencia. He is also the Founder and Scientific Advisor of MicroLab Biotech SL. He has been working on the development of natural ingredients to increase the shelf life of packaged foods against mycotoxin-producing fungi (Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium, Claviceps, Alternaria).
