Santosh Kumar is a researcher and Professor with a Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) in Dhanbad, India. Currently, he is based at K L Deemed to be University, Vijayawada, India and is a former Professor of Liaocheng University, China. He specializes in WaveFlex biosensors, optical fiber sensors, nano and biophotonics, photonic and plasmonic devices, waveguides, interferometers, and the Internet of Things. He is a Fellow of SPIE and a Senior Member of IEEE, SPIE, and OPTICA. He serves as an OPTICA Traveling Lecturer and holds the position of Chair of the Optica Optical Biosensors Technical Group. He has delivered numerous invited speeches and serves as a session chair for IEEE conferences. Additionally, he has made significant editorial contributions, serving as an Associate Editor for journals such as IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE Internet of Things, and Biomedical Optics Express.
