Author Biographies

Dr. Mohamed Abdelsabour Ibrahim Aldeep. He works as an associate professor at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, Cairo, Egypt. His master's degree was in magnetic data interpretation for structure and basement depth estimation. He earned his PhD in 2017, specializing in applied geophysics in the field of mineral exploration. In 2020, He finished his post-doctoral study on space weather at Kyushu University concerning the modeling of the electric field in the earth's crust. His main scientific interest is electromagnetic methods employed in geophysical exploration. In the applied field, He managed several types of research regarding minerals and groundwater and archaeology exploration. Most of this research included the integration of magnetics, gravity, and electric and electromagnetic methods. Theoretically, he is interested in coding and modeling geophysical data. He published a MATLAB code for modeling and running calculations for satellite radio occultation. His current interests are audio frequency magnetotelluric and telluric field analysis and ionospheric induction and its effect on the distribution of geoelectric currents.
Dr. Arwa Sameer Ibrahim Alkholy earned a BS in Geophysics from Mansoura University in 2016, later pursued an MSc in a related field in 2023, and is currently pursuing a PhD in a related field. Her Master’s degree was in the evaluation of groundwater potential using the interpretation of aeromagnetic and magnetotelluric data. She is an assistant researcher at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics in Cairo, Egypt. During her fieldwork, she gathered data for her Master’s thesis, published a research paper, and presented at a conference. Her research interests include magnetotellurics, magnetics, groundwater potentiality, mineralization, and spectrometrics.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saleh Mohamed Mostafa holds the position of full professor in Applied Geophysics at the National Research Institute for Astronomy and Geophysics in Cairo, Egypt. He serves on the Permanent Scientific Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Assistant Professors in Geology and Geophysics within the country. His MSc in Applied Geophysics was awarded by Ain Shams University. He was a recipient of a PhD scholarship through the DAAD-channel program at the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, LMU, Munich, Germany. The JSPS granted him a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Polar Research, Tokyo, Japan. With a robust background in earth magnetism, environmental magnetism, and applied geophysics, he leads an active and prolific research program, boasting 38 publications and 27 conference presentations. His research methodology is interdisciplinary, integrating field observations, magnetic data analysis, environmental science, archaeomagnetism, paleomagnetism, mineral exploration, and groundwater evaluation. As a principal investigator, he collaborates on numerous international and local projects.
