Prof. Yong Li is the Grade II Professor/Ph.D. Supervisor
of Peking University Health Science Center. Prof. Li is an academic for New Century
Excellent Talents at the University for the Ministry of Education of China, and State Department Special Allowance Experts. He has trained 47 PhD students, 51 master’s and
8 post-doctoral students. He has been engaged in research in the fields of nutrition and food hygiene (peptide nutrition, nutrition and disease, dietary formulation, population nutrition,
etc.). Prof. Li has presided over two sub-projects of the Key Project of Chinese
National Programs for Fundamental Research and Development (973 programs), two
National Programs for High Technology Research and Development (863 programs),
one program of the National Key Technology Research and Development Program of
China during the “10th Five-Year Plan”, three Key Projects in the National Science
and Technology Pillar Program of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan Period, one
National “Twelfth Five-Year” Plan for Science & Technology Support
projects, two Key Programs and eleven General Programs of the National Natural
Science Foundation of China (NSFC), two international cooperation projects,
four programs supported by Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher
Education of China, eleven provincial-level projects and “985” projects of the
Ministry of Education, and many other horizontal projects.
