Prof. Wenpei Zheng is an associate professor in the Safety Engineering Department of China University of Petroleum (Beijing). He obtained a postgraduate degree in safety technology and engineering from the China University of Petroleum (Beijing) (master and doctoral program) and then went to the China Petroleum Corporation Drilling Engineering Technology Research Institute to study for a postdoctoral degree. In July 2018, he went to the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering of the University of Toronto in Canada as a visiting scholar. His research directions include risk assessment of offshore oil and gas production, structural damage detection, and reliability assessment.
